Each of these providers processes data under their own privacy and security terms. We choose providers that maintain appropriate security standards for the type of data involved.

5. Where information is stored

Data is stored with our infrastructure providers (Supabase, Stripe), which may store or process data outside New Zealand. By using the Service, you acknowledge that information may be held or processed overseas by providers who are contractually and technically required to protect it to a standard comparable to New Zealand law.

6. Data retention

We retain account and request data for as long as an account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations (including the refund claim window in our Terms). A permanent record of trial usage (tied to an email address) is retained for at least 12 months to enforce our one-trial-per-account policy, even if the associated account is later deleted.

7. Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to request correction of it. To make a request, contact us using the details in Section 9. We will respond within the timeframes required by the Privacy Act.

8. Cookies and analytics

Our website and app use basic cookies or local storage to keep you logged in and remember preferences.

We use Google Analytics on our marketing pages (such as the home page, these Terms and this Privacy Policy) and on the DJ side of the app (sign up, log in and the DJ dashboard) to understand how many people visit, how they find us (for example, from Google Search or social media) and whether they start a free trial. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location (city or region), device and browser type, and the website that referred you. It does not receive your name, email address, payment details or song requests, and we do not use it for advertising.

Google Analytics is not used on the pages Guests see when they scan a DJ's QR code to request a song.

You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Learn how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
