Wedding song requests with a QR code
Put a QR code on the tables or next to the dance floor. Guests scan it, search for a song and send it straight to you — and nothing plays unless you approve it.
Why wedding DJs use QR code song requests
At a wedding, requests usually arrive at the worst moment: someone at the booth in the middle of a mix, a note on a napkin, or an aunt asking for the same song three times. A QR code moves all of that to your screen, so you can see every request, read the room and decide calmly.
- Free for guests. Switch on free requests and nobody pays to ask for a song. Guests can add an optional tip if they want to.
- You approve every song. Each request waits on your dashboard until you accept or decline it, so the couple’s night stays on track.
- Your branding, their names. Add your logo and set the event name (for example, “Sarah & Tom’s Wedding”) so guests see it when they scan.
- Nothing to install. Guests request from their phone’s browser; there’s no app to download.
- Know who asked. Guests can add their name or table number, so you can give a shout-out when the song drops.
How it works at a wedding
Print your QR code
Download it at print quality and place it on table cards, the welcome sign or a screen near the dance floor.
Guests scan and search
They search the song, add their name or table if they like, and send the request.
You review on your device
Requests arrive on your phone, tablet or laptop. You can turn on desktop alerts so you don’t miss one while you mix.
Accept or decline
Play it when it fits the moment, or decline it. A remix or edit of the same song still counts.
Planning with the couple? Agree on their must-play and do-not-play songs before the day. Because every request needs your approval, you can simply decline anything on the do-not-play list.
Free requests, with optional tips
Most weddings run on free requests. If a guest wants to say thanks, they can add a tip to their request. A tip doesn’t buy a play time: you still decide when the song fits the night. You keep 100% of every tip; guests pay a small service fee on top, shown before they pay.
For club nights and bars you can switch to paid requests instead, where guests choose how soon they want the song played. See pricing and plans.
After the wedding
Download your request history to Excel. It’s a handy record of what the room asked for, and a nice extra to share with the couple.
Wedding song request questions
Can wedding guests request songs for free?
Yes. With free requests switched on, guests request at no cost. Tipping is optional.
Can I stop songs the couple doesn’t want?
Yes. Nothing plays automatically — every request waits for you to accept or decline it.
Do guests need to download an app or create an account?
No. They scan the QR code and request from their phone’s browser. Before requesting, guests are asked to follow your Instagram.
What do guests need at the venue?
A phone with mobile data or the venue’s WiFi. The app keeps checking for new requests in the background, so a brief drop in signal won’t lose them.
How much does it cost?
